Mt. Apsan rises 660m in Daegu's Nam-gu, flanked on either side by Sanseongsan (653m) and Daedeoksan (546m).
Apsan Park was developed in the northern valley formed by these three ridges. Park development began in 1970, and continued under a new ten-year plan starting in 1981. It's Daegu's largest urban nature park, covering roughly 508 manpyeong, or about 16.8 square kilometers.
A 790m cable car runs up near the summit, and the foothills host various facilities, including an archery range. Long beloved by Daegu locals as an everyday retreat, it's equally cherished by visitors as a spot offering sweeping views over downtown Daegu.
