Hochigaijinja Shrine
📍 OsakaSaid to have been founded in 90 BCE, this shrine sits at 'Mikuniyama' (today's Mikunigaoka), the meeting point of three ancient provinces — Settsu, Kawachi, and Izumi. Heian-era pilgrims bound for Kumano always stopped here to pray for safe travels. Belonging to no single province and thus considered a pure, direction-neutral land, it's long been revered for purifying bad directional luck with its soil and sand, still drawing crowds today before house moves or new construction.
