Head temple of the Yuzu Nembutsu sect, its main hall is the largest wooden structure in Osaka Prefecture. Treasures include a National Treasure manuscript, and every January, May, and September 16th, visitors gather for the famous 'giant rosary-passing' ceremony. Early May brings the lively Manbu-oneri procession of child performers and nembutsu dance, designated an Osaka City intangible folk cultural property in 2002.
