Tsuboihachimangu

📍 Osaka

Shrine to the clan deity of the Kawachi Genji warrior lineage, built on land once held by the ancestors of Minamoto no Yoritomo, Ashikaga Takauji, and Tokugawa Ieyasu — founders of Japan's three great shogunates. Founded in 1064, it preserves nationally important treasures including armor said to have belonged to Minamoto no Yoshiie and the Genji's white banner, beside a camphor tree said to be a thousand years old.

📸 Best photo spotShoot straight through the torii gate to capture the shrine's signature red color and sense of depth.
