Utsubokoen Park

A long east-west park in Osaka's Utsubo-Honmachi business district, split into East and West gardens by Naniwasuji street. The East garden holds the city's oldest rose garden and tennis courts, while the West garden's Utsubo Tennis Center hosts international tournaments. A charming legend claims its name — meaning 'quiver' — comes from Hideyoshi's era, when fish vendors here shouted a phrase that sounded like the word for quiver.
