📍 Osaka

Nestled at the foot of Mount Katsuragi near the Wakayama border, this spot is also called 'Senshu's inner retreat.' Its pride is a natural hot spring enjoyed while overlooking a mountain stream. The highly concentrated natural sodium spring water is said to help with neuralgia, joint pain, chronic digestive illness, and chronic skin conditions, earning it the nickname 'miracle water.' Long cherished as a therapeutic bath, it's also popular with women for leaving skin smooth. The scenery changes beautifully through the seasons — spring cherry blossoms, early-summer greenery, summer fireflies, autumn foliage. Both overnight stays and day-trip bathing with meals are available. Nearby historic sites include Mizumadera Temple, tied to the legend of Onatsu and Seijuro, and the National Treasure Kuginashi-do hall, both worth a visit to unwind after a stroll.
