Teradoootsukakofun

Terado Otsuka Kofun is a keyhole-shaped mound about 95 metres long, built in the early Kofun period in the 4th century. The rear circular section lies on the west side of the bamboo grove running from Dairoku Koyo primary school to the bamboo park. Excavation recovered a number of bronze mirrors, including triangular-rimmed deity-and-beast mirrors of a type also found in mounds in southern Kyoto Prefecture — which has led to the suggestion that those buried in them were allied. It forms part of the Otokuni Kofun Group historic site.
