Takaragaikekoen Park

Takaragaike Park wraps around a pond of about 1.5 kilometres' circumference, enclosed by natural woodland. Walking paths and lawns make it a favourite with families and with drivers stopping off, and the many cherry and plum trees bring a real crowd in spring. The Kyoto International Conference Center is close by. In the children's area, alongside the open ground and play equipment, there is a play-park zone that uses the woods themselves for unstructured outdoor play, and a making-house for woodwork and bamboo craft.
