Ryuo Falls drops 13 metres, the water threading between rocks and falling in fine strands. It sounds through a quiet gorge on the Minamitani, a tributary of the Kizu River at the northern edge of the town. The dragon king is a god of rain, and this is known as a place where rain-making rites were performed during long droughts.
