Ryuonotaki

📍 Kyoto

Ryuo Falls drops 13 metres, the water threading between rocks and falling in fine strands. It sounds through a quiet gorge on the Minamitani, a tributary of the Kizu River at the northern edge of the town. The dragon king is a god of rain, and this is known as a place where rain-making rites were performed during long droughts.

📸 Best photo spotA slightly slower shutter (or just a few extra shots) captures the flow more smoothly — wipe your lens first to avoid spray.
