Rinsenji Temple

Rinsenji Temple

📍 Kyoto

Rinsenji, east of Tenryuji, is a founder's hall built in 1335 by Emperor Go-Daigo to pray for the repose of his second son, Prince Yoyoshi. The grounds keep their stillness despite the crowds of Arashiyama nearby, and hold a dry landscape garden along with, at the back, the grave of the founding priest Muso Kokushi.

📸 Best photo spotVisit early morning or late afternoon when it's less crowded, for a clearer shot of the gate and grounds.
