Oharanojinja Shrine
📍 KyotoOharano Shrine is said to have been founded when the capital moved to Nagaokakyo, the Fujiwara clan inviting the Kasuga deity here from Nara. Its main hall follows Kasuga Taisha accordingly: four vermilion halls under cypress-bark roofs, standing in a single row. Beyond a thickly wooded grove lies the Koizawa pond, and beside it the clear spring of Sewai, said to have been a favourite of the poet Otomo no Yakamochi.
