Kyotofuritsutangomitohoshinomieruokakoen Park

📍 Kyoto

This free park sits on the wooded hills of Tango, where the natural setting does most of the work. The view opens onto the Sea of Japan and Miyazu Bay, and on clear days reaches all the way to the mountains of Hokuriku. Paid programmes run year-round for all ages: craft sessions using twigs and pine cones gathered in the forest, guided walks through the satoyama, night-sky observation gatherings. There's lodging on site too, with fridges, Wi-Fi, heating and air conditioning — and a large communal bath looking down over the sea.

📸 Best photo spotOpen lawns or spots near the pond make good backdrops — even better during flowering season.
