Kyotofuritsururikeishizenkoen Park

📍 Kyoto

Rurikei, a nature park designated a national historic site and place of scenic beauty, is a gorge some four kilometres long at an elevation of 500 metres, fed by streams from deep in the mountains. Walking upstream toward the reservoir at its head, you pass the falls and rock formations known collectively as the twelve views of Rurikei — the Roaring Falls, the Twin Dragon Pool, the Jade Slab — each with a name that fits it. The scenery changes through the year and holds visitors every time.

📸 Best photo spotOpen lawns or spots near the pond make good backdrops — even better during flowering season.
