Hosenji Temple
📍 KyotoHosenji was founded around 1658 by the priest Kensei and originally called Anyoji; the name was changed to Hosenji in 1686. Its standing eleven-headed Kannon, an Important Cultural Property, is 86 centimetres high, carved from a single block of wood, and a fine piece of late Heian work. It is not open to public view.
