Wonmisan Azalea Garden

Wonmisan Azalea Garden

📍 Bucheon

A downtown spring-flower destination where azaleas blanket a 167m ridge — this is Wonmisan Azalea Garden.

Azaleas are densely planted across roughly 30,000 square meters of ridgeline, and each April the entire hillside turns a striking shade of pink.

The Bucheon Wonmisan Azalea Festival runs during this peak season every spring, offering flower-lined walks along with a range of accompanying events.

It's notably accessible by public transit — about 350m, a 5-7 minute walk, from Bucheon Stadium Station (Line 7) — which makes it especially appealing to find a spring-flower display this large right in the middle of a city.

Honestly, though, the narrow ridge path gets seriously crowded on weekends during peak bloom in early-to-mid April, and outside that window there isn't much to see — this is a distinctly seasonal spot.

For a quieter visit, aim for a weekday morning, or come slightly before the absolute peak of the bloom.

Entry is free, and since the path runs up and down a ridge, comfortable shoes are recommended.

ℹ️ Travel infoFree entry. About 350m, a 5-7 minute walk, from Bucheon Stadium Station (Line 7) Exit 2. Peak azalea bloom is typically early-to-mid April.
📸 Best photo spotMidway up the ridge trail, the classic shot frames the azalea fields with the Bucheon skyline beyond. The path is narrow, so watch out for other visitors.
