Wonmi Park

Wonmi Park

📍 Bucheon

A resting spot for Bucheon locals at the foot of Wonmisan Mountain, alongside a six-lane road — this is Wonmi Park.

Built in 1991 on roughly 23,800 pyeong (about 78,700 square meters) of land, it's a full neighborhood park with a soccer field, tennis courts, basketball courts, and a war memorial tower, offering both sport and rest in one urban space.

From the memorial tower inside the park, a trail leads directly up Wonmisan Mountain — a comfortable 4km round trip to the summit — and the forest bathing area and natural spring water spots along the way remain steadily popular.

It's less a strenuous climb than a gentle uphill stroll, so you can walk it comfortably without hiking boots — a real plus.

Honestly, though, there's no single standout landmark here, so it functions mostly as a neighborhood park locals use day to day, and there aren't many restaurants nearby, so it's easier to eat before you come.

It connects to nearby Jindallae Hill on the same slope of Wonmisan, making it a good pairing for a spring walk during azalea season; it's open at all times and free.
