Wisaeoreum

Wisaeoreum

📍 Jeju

Wisaeoreum consists of three interconnected volcanic peaks west of Mt. Halla's summit, near the Wisaeoreum shelter along the Yeongsil hiking course.

Sitting higher up than Seoreum, also known as the "three-brother oreum," these peaks took the name "Wisaeoreum," meaning "upper three oreum." Forming the western ridge of Mt. Halla, they mark the watershed between north and south, and the boundary between Seogwipo and Jeju cities. Each of the three peaks carries its own distinct name.

Encountered along the Yeongsil hiking course, Wisaeoreum is a well-known, popular route for enjoying sweeping alpine views without needing to reach Mt. Halla's actual summit.

ℹ️ Travel infoTrail access hours are limited (reservation system). Free. Checking the course and reservations in advance is essential.
📸 Best photo spotAn angle capturing the open highland view around the shelter is recommended. Try to include the alpine vegetation, which changes with the season.
