Ujishishokubutsukoen Park

Ujishishokubutsukoen Park

📍 Kyoto

Uji Botanical Park covers about ten hectares next to Taiyogaoka. Its greenhouses hold some 650 tropical and subtropical species, among them the three sacred trees of Buddhism, while outdoors around 800 species grow, including cherries and the plants that appear in The Tale of Genji. There is also a green rest house in the glasshouse, a flower plaza and a herb garden.

📸 Best photo spotOpen lawns or spots near the pond make good backdrops — even better during flowering season.
