Uji Memorial Museum

Uji Memorial Museum

📍 Kyoto

The Kambayashi Memorial Hall in Uji displays the tea-processing tools and related objects handed down in the Kambayashi family, purveyors to the shogunate and the imperial court during the Edo period. Among the holdings are a letter sent to the family by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and a Luzon jar brought by ship from the Philippines in the Momoyama period.

📸 Best photo spotPlease avoid flash photography indoors to protect the exhibits — outdoor exhibit areas, if any, are easier to shoot.
