Tanbakameyamajoato Castle

📍 Kyoto

Tanba Kameyama Castle was built in 1577 by Akechi Mitsuhide. By 1610, under Okabe Nagamori, both the castle and the town below it were essentially complete. It was dismantled under the castle abolition order after the Meiji Restoration, but the stone walls and other features have since been restored by the religious organisation Oomoto, which owns the site today, so something of the original can be read again.

📸 Best photo spotShoot from an angle where the stone walls are clearly visible to capture the castle's old grandeur.
