The Shigemori Mirei residence holds a dry landscape garden. The house was formerly the residence of a Yoshida Shrine priestly family, and its single-storey wooden study is a Registered Cultural Property. Shigemori designed the garden himself, composing it for the view from the fifteen-mat room, and setting the stones upright and overlapping so that the whole reads with real force.
