Ouchi Pass is counted among the four great views of Amanohashidate, alongside Monju, Kurita and Kasamatsu — the place, many say, where the sandbar looks its best. The whole pass has been laid out as Ichijikan Park, fine for cherry blossom in spring and maples in autumn. A walking loop takes about fifteen minutes, centred on the Amanohashidate lookout, with stone monuments along it inscribed with poems written in praise of the view. The park also has five panorama cottages, tent sites, a cooking building, showers and a management building, so it works for anyone who wants time outdoors.
