Myorakuji Temple
📍 KyotoThe Buson poem stone in the grounds of Myorakuji was erected in 1926 to mark the discovery of the original manuscript of Uji-ko. Buson is said to have come here in 1783 at the invitation of a disciple from Tawara village, and Uji-ko is the travel account he wrote of that journey. The stone is inscribed with his verse on the scent of mushrooms left unseen, playing on the title of the Tales of Uji.
