📍 KyotoThe grounds of Kyoto Ryozen Gokoku Shrine hold sites connected with the Meiji Restoration, and the approach to it is called the Road of the Restoration. Enshrined here are the loyalists who died for the country's crises from 1853 onward, together with 73,011 spirits of the war dead from Kyoto Prefecture in the Sino-Japanese, Russo-Japanese and Pacific wars. From the grave of Sakamoto Ryoma the city spreads out below you.
