At Kurumazaki Shrine you receive a prayer stone at the shrine office and hold your wish in mind over it — a practice said to be effective for business success, money luck and good marriage ties. When the wish is granted, custom is to return the stone along with another one in thanks, so the ground in front of the worship hall is heaped high with stones offered and returned. That heap is the image most people carry away. The subsidiary Geino Shrine within the grounds is venerated for improving skill in the performing arts, and is covered in the names of the many well-known performers who have come to pray.
