Kenkunjinja Shrine

Kenkunjinja Shrine

📍 Kyoto

Kenkun Shrine was founded by Emperor Meiji in honour of Oda Nobunaga, who brought an end to the age of civil war and laid the path toward unification of the country. The main hall, worship hall, guest house and shrine office stand in orderly ranks on a site with a fine outlook across the Higashiyama hills.

📸 Best photo spotShoot straight through the torii gate to capture the shrine's signature red color and sense of depth.
