Kanimanji Temple
📍 KyotoKanimanji, once also known as Shihatadera and Kahatadera, was built at the end of the Hakuho period. Its principal image, a seated bronze Shaka Nyorai, is a fine work of that period and a National Treasure. The temple is also known for the tale of the grateful crab, which appears in both the Konjaku Monogatari and the Kokon Chomonju.
