📍 KyotoThe JMSDF Naval Memorial Museum displays memorabilia and documents from the former Imperial Navy. It was established in connection with Maizuru as a naval port, where the navy district was set up in 1901 with Togo Heihachiro as its first commander. Also on show are the Antarctic Stone and panels and models relating to the icebreaker Shirase. It is one of the buildings that make up Maizuru's Japan Heritage designation.
