Iwashimizuhachimangu

Iwashimizu Hachimangu guards the southwestern approach to the old capital and ranks as the second imperial ancestral shrine of the nation, counted among the three great Hachiman shrines of Japan. Its main hall is built on a grand scale in the hachiman-zukuri style, and among surviving halls of that type it is both the oldest and the largest. It was designated a National Treasure in February 2016.
