The Hosomi Museum builds its seasonal exhibitions around a collection of Japanese art running from the Jomon period to the modern era. The building is a contemporary take on Japanese architecture, with a museum shop and an open-plan café facing a courtyard that rises through five storeys. On the top floor, a tea room hosts art appreciation seminars and tea gatherings by application, and you can take wagashi and matcha there looking out over the Higashiyama hills.
