Biwakososuikinenkan Memorial Museum

What is the Lake Biwa Canal? When was it built, by whom, and why? This museum exists to answer exactly those questions. A miniature model shows how carriages carried boats up and down the Keage Incline, and the outdoor terrace on the Keage and Okazaki side looks out over the canal past the fountain. There are dioramas and a viewing corner for archive footage as well. If you're already out at the Nanzenji aqueduct or the Keage Incline, it's an easy stop to add.
