Aminochoshiyamakofun

Amino Choshiyama Kofun was built at the end of the early Kofun period: a keyhole-shaped mound 201 metres long, with a rear circular section 115 metres across and 16 metres high, and a front section 80 metres wide and 10 metres high. It is the largest burial mound on the Sea of Japan side of the country, and counts among the clearest evidence of how powerful ancient Tango was. It is a National Historic Site.
