Daeunsan Natural Recreation Forest sits on the slopes of 742m Daeunsan and is counted among the "12 Scenic Views of Yangsan." Its signature feature is a long boardwalk trail that follows a stream carrying an unusually steady flow of water.
The stream runs roughly knee-deep for most of its length, making it a popular summer wading spot for families with young children, and scenic rest areas are scattered along the way for those who just want a gentle valley walk. A fuller hiking trail also continues to the summit — about 2.5 hours round trip — rewarding hikers with views over the Yangsan and Ulsan area.
The dense forest keeps the valley noticeably cooler even in peak summer, which is why locals treat it as a go-to escape from the heat.
