Bucheon Arboretum

A glass-greenhouse botanical garden inside Bucheon Eco Park — this is Bucheon Arboretum.

Spanning two floors above ground and two below, the building's exterior is shaped like a peach blossom, Bucheon's civic symbol. Inside, it's divided into five themed halls — a fun plant hall, an aquatic plant hall, a subtropical hall, a succulent hall, and a native species hall — plus two hands-on experience rooms, letting you see rare plants from different climate zones all in one place.

Because it's all indoors, you can visit regardless of season or weather, making it a comfortable stop on a rainy day or during the height of summer or winter.

The same grounds also hold a natural history museum, an agricultural relics hall, the Muneungdowon Arboretum, and a children's experience center, so families can easily fill a half-day tailored to different ages.

Honestly, though, the greenhouse itself isn't huge, so the botanical garden alone takes about an hour, and seeing everything else on the grounds is worth budgeting extra time for.

It's within walking distance of Kkachiul Station on Subway Line 7, making it easy to reach. Hours are 09:30-18:00 in summer (Mar-Oct) and 09:30-17:00 in winter (Nov-Feb), closed Mondays.
