Yeouido Hangang Park

The largest of the Han River parks and a festival stage, hosting the Seoul International Fireworks Festival in autumn and the Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival in spring. Set at the eastern end of Yeouido, it takes in the 63 Building, the National Assembly, and Yeouido Park at a glance, and its open sweep feels more expansive than Banpo.

Adjacent to the Yeouido Saetgang Ecological Park, Mulbit Plaza, and bike paths, with cup-noodle and chimaek (fried chicken and beer) from riverside convenience stores as a signature Han River ritual. Evenings are far livelier than daytime — sunsets, night views, and live performances are common.

Thanks to that openness, this stretch is also frequently cited as a location for K-pop music videos and promotional photoshoots — which groups vary by era, so we won’t claim specifics here, but multiple press reports confirm this section of the Han River shows up as a backdrop more often than most.

Honest tips: during festivals (especially October fireworks and April cherry blossoms), hundreds of thousands descend, transit snarls, and litter becomes a real issue — public transit is the only practical option and you must claim a spot early. Weekday visits are far quieter and still great for night views. Bike rental is available and Yeouinaru station connects directly, so access is top-tier.
