N Seoul Tower

N Seoul Tower had humble beginnings as a plain broadcast antenna in 1969. Its observation deck opened to visitors in 1980, and a 2005 makeover gave it the sleek look and name it has today, turning it into one of Seoul's most photographed landmarks.

Combine the mountain's height with the tower itself and you're standing roughly 480m above the city — high enough for a 360-degree view that, on a clear day, stretches to the Han River and even distant Bukhansan mountain.

Honest heads-up: at ₩26,000 for adults, the observation deck ticket runs pricier than most Seoul attractions. You honestly don't need to go up — the summit plaza and cable car station area already offer a beautiful night view for free, fence covered in 'love locks' included.

Local tip: arrive around sunset to catch daylight fading into the night skyline in one visit. The cable car queue can get long; walking up from Myeongdong Station (30-40 minutes) is a good alternative if you don't mind the climb.
