Wolmido

Wolmido

📍 Incheon

Originally a small island off Incheon’s coast, Wolmido was joined to the mainland by land reclamation and holds real historical weight as the first landing point of the 1950 Incheon Landing operation. Today it’s maintained as Wolmi Park, with a coastal walking path, an amusement park, and a traditional garden.

The retro-style amusement park along the breakwater — Ferris wheel included — draws families, and an alley of raw-fish restaurants sits just behind it. The Wolmi Sea Train, a monorail that loops the island, lets you take in the sea views without walking the whole route.

Sunset from the breakwater is the island’s signature moment, so plan to arrive in the late afternoon and stay through evening. Buses connect easily from Incheon Station.

ℹ️ Travel infoFree entry, open at all times (rides and restaurants have their own hours). About 10 minutes by bus from Incheon Station; the Wolmi Sea Train monorail costs extra.
