Opened in 2009, Songdo Central Park is the green heart of the Songdo International Business District, modeled loosely on New York’s Central Park. A 1.8km waterway — filled with seawater that’s continuously filtered — cuts through the park, flanked by high-rises that give it an unusual skyline-meets-canal look.
You can ride a water taxi or a rowboat along the canal, and a traditional Korean garden section adds variety to the walking paths. The building lights reflected on the water are especially striking after dark, so an evening visit is worth it.
The park connects directly to Central Park Station on Incheon Subway Line 1, and entry is free at all times.
