Sungkok Art Museum was founded with the personal fortune of Kim Sung-gon (pen name Seonggok), founder of the Ssangyong Group, and sits on a quiet hill on Sinmunno near Gyeonghuigung Palace.

It runs a steady program of exhibitions centered on Korean contemporary art, and the small sculpture garden on the grounds is worth a wander too.

Open 10 AM-6 PM (last entry 5:30 PM); closed Mondays.
