Sungkok Art Museum was founded with the personal fortune of Kim Sung-gon (pen name Seonggok), founder of the Ssangyong Group, and sits on a quiet hill on Sinmunno near Gyeonghuigung Palace.
It runs a steady program of exhibitions centered on Korean contemporary art, and the small sculpture garden on the grounds is worth a wander too.
