Namsan Cable Car

Namsan Cable Car

📍 Seoul

Namsan Cable Car carries riders from Hoehyeon-dong up to the summit of Mt. Namsan, offering sweeping views of Seoul along the way.

It has been in operation since May 12, 1962, and continues to run today. The cable car covers a route of about 600m between the Hoehyeon-dong station and the Yejang-dong station at the summit, with two cars running simultaneously — one heading up, one heading down.

Having carried Seoul residents and tourists for more than 60 years, it's one of Seoul's oldest cable cars, and remains one of the most popular ways to reach N Seoul Tower (Namsan Tower).
