Changuimun

Changuimun (also called Jahamun), the northwest of the Four Minor Gates of the Hanyangdoseong wall, was first built in 1396. While every other gate was destroyed and rebuilt at some point, Changuimun is the only one whose Joseon-era wooden pavilion (last renovated in 1741) has survived intact — giving it a historical weight the reconstructed gates can't quite match.

Nearby Buam-dong makes for an easy pairing with Yun Dong-ju Hill and the Yun Dong-ju Literature Museum, and the gate sits at the top of the pass above Jahamun Tunnel, connecting to the Bugaksan and Inwangsan sections of the city wall trail.

It's also the historic spot where the troops of the 1623 Injo Restoration entered the city.
