Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain

Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain

📍 Seoul

Water pours from both railings of the Banpo (Submergence) Bridge into the Han, and at night the lighting turns it into the 'Moonlight Rainbow Fountain,' one of Seoul's signature night views. About 380 nozzles discharge roughly 190 tons of water per minute.

It runs only from April to October, usually several times a day. The best vantage is the lawn near Sebitseom on the bridge's south end, and it adjoins the Han River Park, so it works as a picnic spot.

Honest tips: showtimes vary by month, with peak season July-August running multiple shows from day into night — check exact times on the Han River Park site on the day of your visit. Strong wind or low water temperature can cancel shows without notice, so a wasted trip is possible. Claim a spot 20 to 30 minutes before start, and bring a mat and light snacks for a classic Han River night picnic. About 15 minutes on foot from Express Bus Terminal station.

ℹ️ Travel infoRuns daily April–October (exact showtimes vary by month, with more sessions from midday into the evening during peak July–August), free. Schedules change often by season and shows can be cancelled for rain or wind, so check the Hangang Park website the day of your visit. About a 15-minute walk from Express Bus Terminal Station (Lines 3, 7, 9).
📸 Best photo spotFrom the lawn near Sebitseom on the south bank, you can frame the fountain together with the night skyline across the river. Time your shot for the music's climax, when the water arcs reach their fullest extension.
