Namsun Warehouse Site

Namsun Warehouse Site preserves the remains of a modern-era warehouse building once used for logistics after Busan Port opened to foreign trade.

With the port's opening, the Choryang area rapidly grew into a hub where goods moved in and out, and this warehouse was one of the buildings that reflected that era's bustling port logistics. The old red-brick warehouse's exterior still stands today, letting visitors see the history of modern Busan's port logistics with their own eyes.

Nearby, the Choryang Ibagu-gil trail continues on to traces of the modern port-opening era like the 168 Steps, Yu Chi-hwan's mailbox, and the site of the Choryang Waegwan (Japanese trading post) — making Namsun Warehouse Site a good starting point for tracing the flow of modern Busan history as you walk the area.

It's not an elaborately decorated site, but a place where you can feel the weight of time held within a single old brick building.
