Museum Kimchikan

Tucked into the Insadong shopping street, Museum Kimchikan is a small themed museum devoted to kimchi — Korea's signature fermented dish — covering its history and the many regional and seasonal varieties. It opened in 1986 as Korea's first kimchi museum and has moved twice since, settling into its current Insadong spot.

Beyond the exhibits, it runs kimchi-making workshops, tastings, and cooking classes, making it a hands-on way to get into Korean food culture — a natural add-on to an Insadong shopping walk or a Chinatown day trip.

Closed Mondays, January 1st, the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays, and Christmas.
