Toritsushakujiikoen Park

Nerima's signature nature-filled park, centered on two large ponds — Shakujii Pond and Sanpoji Pond. In spring, some 240 cherry trees including Somei-yoshino and wild mountain cherries burst into bloom, making it a well-known hanami spot. Tranquil, tree-encircled Sanpoji Pond holds a marsh plant community designated a National Natural Monument, where you can spot bogbean, Japanese pond lily, and rabbitear iris. Rowboats are available on Shakujii Pond, and weekends see families filling the park all day long.
