Nakamise-dori

Nakamise-dori

📍 Tokyo

Japan's oldest temple approach shopping street, running about 250m from Kaminarimon gate to Sensoji's main hall. Around 90 shops line the way, from old-fashioned treats like ningyo-yaki cakes and ramune candy to traditional goods like yukata robes and folding fans. Even without visiting the temple, walking it alone captures the feel of an old Edo-era shopping street.

📸 Best photo spotShooting from the street entrance with the huge red lantern of Kaminarimon Gate behind is the classic shot.
