Dongmyo Flea Market

Dongmyo Flea Market

📍 Seoul

Korea's largest vintage and secondhand market, grown organically around Dongmyo, a shrine dating to the Joseon era. It took root as a clothing wholesale hub in the 1990s and has recently been reborn as 'Dongmyo fashion,' beloved by Korean Gen Z and foreign visitors.

Clothes, shoes, vinyl records, watches, antiques, and military surplus pile high, with showroom-style shops mixed with goods spread on the ground — a genuine treasure-hunt atmosphere where the occasional luxury or rare vintage surfaces at a sharp price.

Honest tips: many stalls have no fixed prices, so haggling is the norm, and condition, size, and authenticity must be checked in person — a 'final price' is common. Weekends are the liveliest. Cash is standard and some stalls do not take cards. Dongmyo-ap station is right there, but the neighborhood is somewhat gritty, so do not linger late into the night.

ℹ️ Travel infoStalls generally open all day (roughly 10:00-19:00, busiest on weekends), cash and haggling are the norm. Right outside Dongmyo Ap Station (Lines 1, 6) Exit 3.
📸 Best photo spotThe mountains of clothes piled at each stall are the market's signature scene — the deeper alleys with people digging through vintage piles feel especially vivid.
